Here at PMX, we believe that great ideas are meant to be shared. The idea list is a list of ideas compiled from projects we have carried out, projects we are interested in carrying out and great ideas from our fellow friends (including you!). Our aim is to encourage the public to carry these projects by themselves and to support as many of these individuals as we can.
So how does it work?
1. Simply browse through the idea list to find something that interests you.
2. If the project has been carried out, click on the READ MORE link to view a report that has been written on the project. The written proposal may also be viewed upon request (applies to some of the projects only).
3. Interested to carry out the project yourself but require some mentoring and support? Simply send us an email!
4. Some of the ideas are not ours and belong to either a volunteer or our friends. If they have chosen to make themselves known, a name and a contact number would be included in the description of the project. If not, we are afraid that we do not have experience on the project. However, we are still extremely honoured and pleased to provide assistance if needed. Again, these requests may be sent through email.
5. You may also add on ideas of your own! These ideas may not have to be projects you have carried out and you may choose to be anonymous. Whatever the case is, CONTACT US and tell us your ideas!
6. Our ideas are not perfect and we are open to any suggestions on how to improve. Send us your feedback (about a specific project or general use of the idea list) and we will take measures to improve.
7. Please take note that we take no credit for the ideas on this list and it may be used without any reference to PMX or any other organisation in any way. Use it, improvise it, have fun with it!
We hope the idea list is useful to you and we hope to hear from you soon!

BLIND DATE
Though Malaysia has always been a diverse country, racism and segregation is still rife. But as the famous saying goes, 'Tak kenal maka tak cinta.' This project aims to reduce hostile feelings between two strangers. Participants are paired up based on results of questionnaires to ensure that they are as different from each other as possible. Pairs are not revealed until the day of the project itself. Arranged to seat across each other, participants will be given 5 minutes to chat. After the 5 minutes have ended, feedback forms are distributed to record findings.

TERIMA KASIH
human library
With the objective of creating awareness on taboo topics and getting insight on simple yet meaningful questions, human library brings together a group of writers who will be answering questions from the crowd. Answers will be posted online on a daily basis and the writer's identity will be kept anonymous. At the end of the day, you will get a collection of raw and unfiltered stories from the people of Malaysia about life as it is.

PARTY FOR UNDERPRIVILEGED KIDS
This project aims to provide underprivileged children with the chance to experience a magical day with the hope that it will brighten up their lives and give them hope when times are low.
p.s. There are many variations of how this can work out and we have a team working on one right now! Contact us for coaching and proposal. |
MOVING. interactive library
With the aim of encouraging underprivileged children to read and educate communities, this project includes collecting donation for books and board games which will be brought to chosen orphanages or low income housings to be shared with the children. The books are lent, not given, thus the name moving library. This is so that the books can be shared with a wider group of people from different places. Volunteers will also be around to play board games with the children (if they are bored) and to teach children who are illiterate and wish to learn reading.

eye-contact experiment
With the aim of encouraging eye contact between two individuals when communicating, the eye contact experiment requires participants to sit across each other and make eye-contact in silence for a whole minute.
